a creature to kick off June

A new month. A fresh start. An excuse for another month-long quest toward creativity. Three years ago I created "The June Series," a daily creative exercise in which I created (or worked on) a piece of artwork each day. It was mostly an un-blogged project...one that I simply did for myself. But I am finding that I need blogging inspiration as well as general creative motivation these days. So, I've decided to attempt to blog something creative everyday. Consider it "The June Series, Take Two."

To start things off, here's a creature I sketched over Memorial Day weekend, while sitting on a dock overlooking a beautiful pond in Vermont. It was quite the inspirational spot, so it's no wonder that I was able to create. Let's just hope the drawing streak can continue...

You sketched this little guy?!
So cute, yet ferocious! Though I did miss you that weekend, I'm very proud of the creations you gave birth to in that relaxing weekend.
I just started the same kinda thing, only it is not just being driven by myself. I joined a blog with some of my friends from school. The Open Sketchbook Society. http://opensketchbooksociety.blogspot.com/
Can't wait to see how your series goes! June's turning out to be a creative month for everyone it seems.
